MegaBytes #2 - Microsoft and Apple want TikTok? Australia makes Spider Shazam, Jurassic Park Open?

Updated: Aug 6

Welcome to MegaBytes edition 2, the fast news section!

Last week we spoke about a famous application called TikTok that would be banned (read the original here: https://www.techsupportfb.co.uk/post/tiktok-banned-in-usa) in the USA. Since then Apple and Microsoft are in "deep discussions" with the TikTok owners in order to purchase the application from them. This would mean that the application would be around to stay since Trump will not ban an American owned app. If Microsoft were to purchase the app we would likely see a desktop version coming out and if Apple were to get the app then we would likely see "Apple Only" features to try and increase Apple's iPhone sales.

Australia is known for its mass of creatures both poisonous and non. Because of this mass of deadly animals a new app has been launched! Critterpedia! This application will allow users to take pictures of spiders and snakes for the in development AI to identify. The developers are urging people to download the app and try it out in order to help the AI as much as possible. So, if you live in Australia download it now and know what the "critter" is called that will eventually maul off your foot!

Jurassic park was a great success. Great story line, big park, unfinished but rushed, dinosaurs escape, people die, dino's die, man becomes a meme (see below), people escape, film ends. This was a great success so they made a second one. Big park, unfinished but rushed, dinosaurs escape, people die, dino's die, people escape, film ends. Not so good. In order to refresh this repetitive order they are taking a break and making a film about monkeys that take over the world... Nope, wrong franchise... They are making a third one! Where no likely, Big park, unfinished but rushed, dinosaurs escape, people die, dino's die, people escape, film ends. Aha! You are expecting me to say not so good! Wrong! Due to COVID-19 they had to stop filming. Now they are filming again... Not so good.
